How To: Import Projects

How To: Import Projects

**Note: Users can upload up to 100 projects at a time with this feature. 

Navigation

  1. Log in to the application
  2. On the left navigation menu select Manage
  3. The sub-menu will expand and user will select Import

Import process

  1. User will first download the VISION Project Template
  2. User will put their projects into the template
    1. Users must provide a title on every Initiative
    2. User can provide synopsis, problem and solution
      1. If synopsis, problem and solution are not provided there will be filler content added to the section which states:
        1. Content was not provided when this Initiative was uploaded. Please edit the field to change the content. 
    3. User will provide a user’s email in the lead user field
      1. If the lead user email provided is not in VISION it will default to the user submitting the project
      2. Upon upload there can only be one lead user and additional team members can be added once submitted
  3. Once projects are in the template and ready to be uploaded, the user will select the organization that the projects will be submitted to
  4. User will then upload the CSV 
  5. Once file is selected user will click the Upload button

Review Import

  1. User can review the Initiatives being submitted
    1. If the team lead was not found then the projects will default to the user submitting the projects
    2. If the synopsis, problem and solution were provided there will be a check mark under each category
    3. If the synopsis, problem and solution were not provided it will not have a check mark
      1. Projects can still be added without this content. The filler content mentioned above will be placed in these fields and can be edited after the upload is complete
  1. After the review is complete, the user can choose to import the projects by clicking the Import button or cancel the import by selecting the Cancel button
  2. If user selected Import then the user will receive a notification at the bottom corner of the screen letting them know that the projects were uploaded
